Lost count on how many times we've been here, let's just say quite a few!! Always a relaxing week with the stunning panoramic views around the cottage. Miriam, Andris, and Jedi are superb hosts and have become good friends too. The dogs absolutely love it here and we've bought a few over the years! 5 at one time! Thank you so much and thank you for welcome pack too!
Already looking forward to our next visit... Lots of love.
Thank you for a warm & friendly welcome. The cottage fully
met our expectations; dogs & humans! A very relaxing and
comfortable place to stay, beautiful views & Countryside. We
went to Pendine, Wiseman's Bridge, but best of all for us was was
Freshwater East, very dog friendly, all year round too, the pub
nearby, Freshwater Inn, serves great food & dogs allowed
inside too. Everyone happy! Bella thoroughly enjoyed the [cottage]
garden and it was great being able to relax knowing she was safe.
Great place for a dog holiday.
Thank you for your hospitality, advice & directions on great
places to visit.  We went to beaches at Freshwater West, Pendine,
Newgale (Best), and Laugharne. Carew castle good. Narberth is a
great little town for cakes, restaurants, shops & antiques.
St. David's, & Porthgain worth visiting. Solva really nice
bay.Â
Thank-you for such a warm welcome and for being so friendly and helpful.
We have had a wonderful week, we love the cottage, the garden, the fields and the views. The beach at Pendine and the secret beach have probably been our favorite places. We enjoyed visiting Saundersfoot, Wiseman's bridge, Laugharne (our favorite) and Tenby (was too busy for us).
Hopefully next time we come it won't be a heatwave.
Another great week here at the cottage, found some beautiful
coastal walks, St Anne's head & Strumble head, Stunning
scenery. Will definitely be back to see Miriam, Andris + Jedi next
year. Lovely Indian takeaway from Elaichi. Not so keen in the fish
+ chips from Georges. but thanks to Miriam & Andris'Â wealth
of local knowledge, can highly recommend "The Shed" at Porthgain,
well worth the drive there. With love and best wishes from -
Wow,wow, wow - What an amazing place, so much to do and a see with
your dog in tow. Mim & Andy - amazing hosts. Love the walks
with Jedi [House Dobermann] and the chats with Andy. The cottage
is just amazing with everything you need and more to feel
comfortable and just like home feel - the grounds are spectacular
with the stunning views and security for you to wander stress free
knowing that your dog cannot escape. Basher loved getting to know
Jedi and had a great time off lead in the fields We made many
visits to many places while we were here - our favorite beach cove
was Nolton haven, never busy and always somewhere to park. The sea
was warm and the sun was shining . Our second favorite place was
Llys-y-fran country park - amazing 6.2 mile walk through woodland
and stream and stunning views of the lake. Thank you for such a
special week. We will be back - worth every penny. Thanks, love.
Everything you need for a relaxing break. Comfortable cottage,
beautiful location & fabulous hosts. Thank you Miriam &
Andris for your warm welcome and vast local knowledge. One week
isn't enough to explore everywhere. We'll definitely be back!
Thank you.
This cottage does exactly what it says on the tin - which is to
provide a wonderful, relaxing, and in particular, a dog friendly
holiday. It is also the only place we have ever stayed with a
sensational view from the toilet seat!! There is everything at
the cottage you need, but if you want to venture afield, we loved
Llansteffan beach, Ferryside & Pendine. We also had a
wonderful day at Carew castle & Tidal mill. Rievaulx &
Cedar [collies] loved the use of the fields and the space to run
freely and explore. Thank you to Miriam & especially to Andris
for making us so welcome & for the local 'on the spot'
knowledge. I enjoyed our chats. This without doubt is the best
place we have ever stayed & sad to go home, but wonderful
memories!! Thank you.
A dogs paradise, Daisy was in her element. She loved the walks
and enjoyed Pendine sands chasing after her ball. (We liked it
too) Thanks to Miriam and Andris they are really great hosts,
can't do enough to help and very informative - Definitely be back.
Great week, lovely location and the cottage has everything you
could ask for. Billy was very much at home on his favorite sofa
and loved running around in the field. Great beaches and scenery,
Hope to come back and explore some more, Thanks.
We have had an amazing doggy break in this beautiful cottage,
thank you to the great hosts & Jedi! Our dogs have absolutely
loved the freedom to run around and explore. Miriam & Andy
couldn't be more helpful, we hope to be back soon.Â

Lovely relaxing week as intended for us and the dogs! Think this
is probably one of the most 'dog friendly' places we have stayed.
Floodlit garden perfect although our old girl struggled with the
slope but coped. Luckily we bought runners for the laminate in the
kitchen as it's not good for greyhound feet but we were aware of
that. Great hosts! The hounds enjoyed a bark-off with Jedi x.Â
Recommend Colby woods, Llansteffan beach and especially Ferryside
if you need more quiet places with your dogs. âFood treeâ in the
village has great vegan options as did the cafe@ Colby woodland
garden. Thank you!!
Lovely well situated cottage with fields which were perfect for
off lead exercise for our pup "Elsie" whose recall is questionable
at best! Beautiful garden with room for all our girls to run
around. Lots of great things locally for us dog mad people. We
went to Pendine beach, Llansteffan beach & Castle. Mynydd Maur
woods (which is lovely if your dogs like space from other dogs),
Colby gardens, Pembrey country park / Cefn Sidan beach &
Wisemans bridge. We didn't like Wisemans Bridge for our old girls
legs as she is a keen swimmer but lots of rocks to step on and a
busy road to negotiate and get down to the beach. The cottage had
all the amenities you could need and the log burner is especially
lovely. I just wish the beds were more comfy* although the dogs
had no complaints. Welcoming hosts & very knowledgeable of the
local area, Thank You.  Â
[* Perhaps you didn't find the
mattress topper at the side of the futon!]
Had a lovely relaxing week. Particularly enjoyed Pendine,
Laugharne, and Colby woodland gardens Fish & Chips from
George's are not to be missed!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the cottage which was so cosy
and dog friendly. A wonderful location from which to explore all
the towns and beaches in the area.  Our one year old black
Labrador, Bonnie, has had the time of her life running around the
lovely garden and having the luxury of big fields to roam around.Â
It's been a very relaxing and refreshing week. Thank you to Miriam
and Andy for making us feel so welcome.
A lovely week in a truly dog friendly cottage and grounds. We
visited many dog-friendly beaches, and the beautiful Bosheston
lily ponds and Broad haven beach, not to be missed. Thank you
Miriam and Andy our hosts.
We had a lovely week, the cottage is great& so well set up.
We visited Colby woodland garden which was lovely but very busy
with lots of dogs & people. Had a lovely walk around Mynydd
Mawr woodland park. Very peaceful & meet some lovely people
to chat to on our walk especially the two ladies on horseback who
took the time to let Lilly our nervous dog look at their horses
from a distance that she was comfortable with. After a drive
around the coast & discovering that dogs aren't allowed on the
beach at Newgale until the end of Sept we found this lovely little
place Port Clais with a little refreshments unit? that did
sandwiches cakes & coffee etc. We would love to come back
again & explore some more of the area. A big thanks to Miriam
& Andris for making us so welcome.Â
Lovely warm and comfortable cottage. Everything you need for a
relaxing weekend. fabulous for the dogs plenty room to roam about.
Had a lovely time. Miriam and Andris are lovely host. Couldn't
wish for better. Hope to be back next year.
An absolutely fantastic welcome from Miriam & Andris+ the
gorgeous Jedi. The cottage is fantastic & I will definitely
stay again. Whisper and Jedi had a good shouting match together. A
fab enclosed field = perfect.Â
A wonderful cottage with magnificent views and a very warm+
relaxed welcome from Andris, Miriam& Jedi! Pickles loved the
fields and exploring all of the dog friendly beaches. We
recommend: Pendine beach (Sat/Sun as fully open), Wisemans Bridge
and walk to Amroth when tide is out. Newgale, Solva and St. Davids
were wonderful. We recommend the Corvus in St. Clears for Sunday
lunch and Bombay Spice for the best curry. It's quiet here and the
break we all needed.
Fantastic cottage, stunning surroundings Holiday cut short due to
van trouble. Miriam, Andris & Jedi are fantastic hosts, so
welcoming. Thank you for all your help too!Â
A big thank you for a lovely warm welcome. The weather was
great, nice & sunny. Nice relaxing holiday. Great info on best
place to go. Ben enjoyed the fields and beaches. Will love to come
back. Thank you.
Well amazing 2 weeks of total rest and relaxation. Dogs loved the
fields to run in. Can recommend the White Lion[pub] in Pwll
Trap(St. Clares [sic] )for Sunday lunch, they also do take-out.
Well, Miriam and Andris thank you so much for your hospitality.
Dogs loved it.
A superb cottage,
everything you could ever need for our 4-legged ones! So relaxing.
Miriam Andris & Jedi [Dobermann] most welcoming &
informative on dog friendly beaches! Broad haven, Little haven,
Laugharne & Marloes, St. Brides (stunning!!). Coastal walks a
dream. Will return when we don't have a pregnant pooch to do more
walking. The Savoy Inn good food but had to order by APP. A
Challenge for us!! Fox & Hound & Llanboidy good too.Oh,
Wisemans Bridge pub great but no food outside at the moment. If
you want a table inside anywhere, book well in advance. [Due to
COVID restrictions]. Will return.
Thank you for making
us feel so welcome. Beautiful views and beautiful place to get
away. The dogs absolutely loved it. Beautiful beaches. Thank you
again for the peony seeds!Â
Lovely cottage,
beautiful views, great garden & fields for the dogs. We've
really enjoyed our time here! Great hosts, very knowledgeable
about the area. We will be back some time in the future!
Thanks for a lovely holiday. I relax completely when here.
Cottage is great, garden safe for hounds & lovely places to
visit.

2nd Visit. Another lovely relaxing stay, Great walks + beaches.

Amazing property, amazing views â so relaxing.  Dogs loved all
the fields they could run in - Pendine MOD beach was just perfect
for 6 crazy dogs! Loved Wisemans Bridge too. Fish & chips
fantastic. Andy & Miriam couldn't be more helpful. We will be
back!
Our 2nd visit to Arwel, very relaxing week Dogs enjoyed lots of
lovely walks. Visited new places: The Gower, Amroth, Secret
beaqch, St. Davids, Newgale & Lots more!! Thank you for
making us so welcome. Hope to return soon!!
Our 3rd visit to this beautiful cottage and already booked for
next year. Miriam & Andris are wonderful hosts and make you
feel welcome every time. What a relaxing week, enjoying the
fabulous scenery. Can't wait to come back.
2019
Lovely views. Very relaxing time. Dogs loved it especially being
able to have a nice mooch around the fields. Well equipped
accommodation. Very cosy. Enjoyed many fantastic walks â Pendine,
Tenby, Barafundle Bay (wow! Stunning beach), Manorbier, Wisemans
Bridge, Pembrey Country Park, Cefn Sidan, Freshwater West. Will
miss the stunning views â look forward to returning next June/July
for 2 weeks.
Fabulous week, very relaxing, cottage lovely and comfortable. Can
we buy it please?! Thank you we have had a wonderful break, so
lovely to be able to bring our pack with us and not have to worry.
What a fabulous place, brilliant for dogs in particular. Going to
miss that view! Had great visits to local beaches; Amroth was
quiet, Wiseman's Bridge was lovely too. We particularly liked
Llansteffan Beach â loads of room for six mad dogs, even when tide
was in. Easy to walk down to dog friendly section even when parked
at the top end. Lots of room to park and free. All the red kites
made it feel like home! Thanks to Miriam and Andris for making us
feel so welcome and being so helpful. Sorry we have to go.
Second visit and had a wonderful time. Amazing weather. The dogs
loved the field and garden and cool floors when it was hot.
Had a wonderful week here with the tribe! They all loved it. They
loved running around the garden and the fields. It was lovely just
to sit out in the sunshine and watch the Red Kites hovering around
and we also saw the partial lunar eclipse. We loved Laugharne,
small car boot on a Wednesday, great gift shop and lovely meals at
the Fountain Inn. Wiseman's Bridge is lovely too. Andris is full
of local knowledge. It's a shame we've got to go home. Can't wait
to come again!
WOW! WOW! WOW! What a fantastic cottage and a superb base for
seeing the best of the west! Andy and Mim are so welcoming and
thorough as hosts. Information and guidance was excellent. We will
definitely be booking again. Ronnie and Murphy have had the best
doggy holiday ever and can't wait to tell their friends back home!
Our 7th holiday here, says it all really. Eating out â Breakfast,
The Old Mill at Llandowror. Sunday Carvery â The Bush Inn at
Robeston Wathen (need to book). Evening Meal â The Corvus in St
Clears, Fox and Hounds at Bancyfelin.
Our second visit, we will be booking for next year asap! Maggie
and Sidney are exhausted from all the lovely beach walks with
evening beach walks at Pendine being our favourites and setting us
up for lovely relaxed sleep. We have explored and discovered many
lovely places and have enjoyed every minute. Wonderful place,
beautiful scenery, what more could we ask for! Home from home.
Thank you Miriam and Andris for welcoming us and for the goodies
for us and the pups. Look forward to returning.
A lovely holiday stay for a doggie holiday. Thank you for
welcoming all of us, we have enjoyed our stay. Thank you for the
recommendations on places to visit â all great. Delightful,
peaceful, relaxing and beautiful.
A lovely time exploring the locality and further afield. The MOD
end of Pendine beach proved invaluable for 5 large dogs as did
Canaston and Carew Castle. Certainly enjoyed our time in Narberth
â great Kurdish restaurant and Spanish delicatessen. Thanks to
Miriam and Andris for being welcoming hosts.
Have had a thoroughly good week from start to finish. Thank you
to Andris and Miriam, Harley and Chai for being such kind and
generous hosts. It was a pleasure to meet you all. Have very much
enjoyed the cottage and the beautiful surrounding countryside and
the views from the decking and just chilling out in the
afternoons. Tenby was beautiful and enjoyed the beaches at Amroth,
Pendine, Wisemans Bridge and Saundersfoot. St Clears very
friendly, meal at Elaichi lovely and the pies from Hughes butchers
especially the Royal Pie. Sorry it has to end but hopefully to
return.
Our fifth visit here to Arwel! Doggie and human heaven! Fabulous
place and hosts Miriam and Andris with Harley and Chai as always
so welcoming!
On arrival we were welcomed with the fire lit and some lovely
treats for ourselves and the dogs. Our dogs loved the garden. We
explored many local dog friendly places like Cenarth Falls,
Freshwater East, Pembroke Castle and Mountain Road. Owners were
friendly throughout our visit. We shall definitely be returning
sometime in the year with our beautiful pack. Thank you for a
lovely stay.
2018
Very dog friendly. Well what more can we say about this wonderful
place and owners. We love it so much here we have been staying
here over the last 3 years so I've lost count of how many times
we've been welcomed here with open arms from Mims and Andris. They
are the most helpful and lovely couple you could ever meet. We
have been to Pendine, Barafundle, Devils Bridge, to name a few
places. We love Wales and are looking to live here one day! Thank
you for our welcome pack and the dogs treats. There are so many
places to go and Mim and Andris can advise on any good places
worth a visit. The cottage is always a pleasure to stay in with
the views and the cosy feel from the woodburner. This is our
second home and can't wait to come back. Thank you again for
everything.
Thank you both for a lovely relaxing week with our 2 Dalmations,
we were warm and cosy with the fire and managed 3 beach walks with
the dogs, one at Pendine and two at Barafundle â loved this one,
had it to ourselves. Loved Narberth for shopping! Would love to
come back soon.
Had a really relaxing week, thank you so much. Cottage was really well equipped and cosy â stunning views, stunning beaches and Tenby is beautiful. Homegrown tomatoes were yummy and the biscuits and treats a lovely touch! Jo, Mark and dogs, Skipton
Yet another wonderful stay with Mim, Andris, Harley and Chai. The
weather wasn't too kind on this occasion but with the logburner
lit and the view Arwel is still an amazing place to stay. Thank
you again, see you soon!
Our 4th visit with our 5th visit already booked. A few relaxing
days away in one of our favourite places. The dogs absolutely love
it here as we do. Can't wait to come back.
Our second visit to Arwel. I can't think of a better place to
recuperate after an unexpected hospital stay. A place you can
truly relax. The dogs loved playing fetch in the fields, the large
garden and the visits to Pendine beach. We tried the local pies
from Hughes in St Clears which were lovely and highly recommended.
Definitely my second home here and will be booking again for next
year. Fabulous hosts as always, thank you for accommodating us and
our needs at short notice. I honestly can't recommend enough. See
you next year!
Third visit and still amazing. Absolutely love it here. Found new
beaches to explore. Pembrey is well worth a visit. Will be back in
April. Thank you Miriam and Andris.
A wonderful holiday. Great cottage, the dogs loved it! Freshwater
West and Newgale Beaches are the best beaches we found, great to
explore on a low tide.
A fantastic break in a wonderful cottage with warm and friendly
hosts. Thanks so much Andris and Miriam.
We have had a brilliant stay with our four dogs. What an
absolutely lovely place, excellent views and places to visit,
beaches, fields, woods, it's got the lot. Thank you to Miriam and
Andris for a warm welcome and for all your advice and help. We
certainly hope to be coming back.
â¬â¬â¬â¬â¬ star! Excellent! Does what it says on the tin!
A very much needed short break with our pooches. Fabulous
cottage. Great base to explore the best of the west. Have
recommended this lovely place to all our friends who have dogs.
Another great week spent here. Fabulous dog friendly chilled
break. See you again soon.
A wonderful cottage, the dogs enjoyed the freedom. Visits to
Wisemans Bridge were a favourite. Lovely meals in the Inn
overlooking the bay. Walks on Pendine and Amroth beaches were also
lovely. Would love to come back. If you need a vet I would
recommend Carmarthen Veterinary Hospital. They offer 24 hour care
and were wonderful looking after one of our goldies. Hosts were
wonderful always making sure everything was ok and offering
advice. Thank you.
This is our 4th year here â this time for almost two weeks. Love
it â dogs have so much fun, beaches, coastal walks and fields to
run free in. Try Llys Y Fran reservoir walk â 7 miles round the
water and Wisemans and Amroth â great beach walk at low tide. See
you again soon.
What a wonderful location and cottage. We all had a great time
with lots of walking. Just too many to fit in in a week. Will need
to come again to fit in all the others!
This was our second visit here and we have loved it just as much
as the first! Weather has been good apart from 2 days. The girls
adore the freedom here and the lovely beaches. Pendine and
Llansteffan are the favourites. Great walk from Saundersfoot to
Wiseman's Bridge. I am sure we will be back.
