Multiple dogs and can't find anywhere to stay?
At our super dog-friendly cottage here at Holidays for Dogs we
don't just tolerate dogs - we welcome them free of charge! Our
lovely, quiet, self-catering cottage in St Clears, Carmarthenshire,
is self-contained, with its own secure enclosed garden, on an almost
traffic free private lane, but still close to dog-friendly beaches,
attractions and amenities.
Dogs need holidays too!
Kind owners take their dogs on holiday with them. Reward your dog (or dogs) for their years of loyal service keeping you company and guarding your home. Such loyalty deserves to be rewarded, and where better than where the walks start right outside your door. Our fields are at your disposal for exercising your dogs whilst enjoying the breathtaking views.
Can I really take my dogs on holiday?
The bigger the dogs, the bigger the welcome! We pride ourselves on being very dog-friendly. If you have a large dog, or several companions, then you'll know that it's almost impossible to find suitable accommodation. We welcome up to five well-behaved, fully house-trained dogs of any breed and size.
Beaches, attractions, coastal paths, towns, villages...
There's plenty for humans as well! Carmarthen (the oldest town in Wales) is close at hand with its array of shops and historic buildings. The local town is St. Clears, providing all the essentials for a great holiday, and some luxuries that you wouldn't expect!The closest beach is Pendine Sands, 7 miles of glorious sand, and dog friendly.
Holiday or short break?
In the summer, Holidays for Dogs offers memorable week long holidays for you and your dogs. In the spring, autumn, or winter, this lovely self-catering cottage is also available for short breaks (minimum 3 nights). Please contact us for details.
Internet and WiFi
Enjoy Internet access from your cottage via free WiFi. Many rural properties are unable to access broadband. We are one of the few that can. Bring your own laptop/tablet and use it as if you were at home or at work.

Birdspotting!
We are extremely lucky to have frequent visits by Red Kites, Buzzards, the odd Peregrine Falcon and even the occasional Osprey! It has even happened that a group of pheasants has walked through the cottage garden - leaving a stunned rottweiler open-mouthed and bewildered! But please be careful if you have very small dogs as they can look like prey to a bird with a 5-foot wingspan!
Action holiday or Retreat?
While there's a lot to do around here, many of our visitors just come for a rest, a complete break to recharge their batteries. Some never venture out into the surroundings, after all, everything is here, your dog(s) have fields and lanes to run and walk in and as long as you don't run out of food and wine, you can just relax and enjoy the peace and quiet.
